The Client
Indusfacas have grown over the last 20 years to become a market leader in high quality cutting tool technology for wood, metal, food and foam. Operating from Sao Paulo in Brazil, the team are driven by a passion for seeking cutting excellence.
The Brief
Daniel Schmuziger, Managing Director at Indusfacas, sought to increase their market share within the food processing industry. After sales stabilised with their current supplier, Daniel took the challenge to launch a new brand of premium food bandsaw blades. Blades which would be high quality. Could deliver real benefits to the end-user. A clear differentiator in the market place.
The Solution
After in depth consultation, including a factory visit to the UK to see production, Dakin-Flathers supplied Indusfacas with Freshcut37. Precision ground premium food bandsaw blades for processing fresh and frozen meat and carcass splitting, delivering a 37% cleaner cut and superior yield. The food processing blades were supplied with bespoke packaging and literature, designed by Dakin-Flathers in conjunction with the Daniel, for product launch.
The Results
At the beginning we faced resistance from our customers in proving a new brand, since many others tried to operate in the market without success. But gradually we managed to convince them to test and the result could not be better. The success of this partnership is not only due to the excellent quality product provided by Dakin-Flathers, but also by the respect and cordiality of the company with its customers.Daniel Schmuziger, Managing Director
End-users saw a vast improvement in blade quality and cutting performance. At the start of the project, Freshcut37 accounted for just 3% of Indusfacas total food blade sales. Right now, this has risen to 95% and resulted in an increase of sales of over 300% within this sector.
