Carl Jukes
Managing DirectorCarl Jukes is a seasoned professional with 28 years of experience in the steel strip industry, currently serving as the Managing Director at Dakin-Flathers. In his role, Carl takes charge of engineering, technical, innovations, and overall strategy alongside the senior management team. With a background that commenced in metallurgy and swiftly evolved from operations to commercial roles, he brings a comprehensive skill set to his leadership position.
Throughout his extensive career, Carl has gained global experience within the bandsaw industry, supplying major bandsaw manufacturers. His proficiency in steering innovation within the bandsaw sector is a testament to his strategic vision and in-depth industry knowledge which is now being delivered to Dakin-Flathers products.
Beyond the boardroom, Carl finds pleasure in car restoration, indulging in the art of brewing Black Country beer, and exploring various culinary delights.
Lee Barker
Operations DirectorLee Barker
Operations DirectorLee Barker, Operations Director, is the driving force behind health and safety, product quality, manufacturing efficiencies, and employee engagement at Dakin-Flathers. Armed with qualifications in Health & Safety from NEBOSH and being Six Sigma black belt trained, Lee brings a wealth of expertise to his role.
With a background in manufacturing management roles in the packaging industry, Lee has successfully supplied a blue-chip client base including Nestle, Diageo, Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson. His commitment to excellence is evident in the employee engagement fostered at Dakin-Flathers resulting in world-class Q12 results and first-class bandsaw products.
Outside of work, Lee finds solace in the simple pleasures of life, enjoying walks with his dogs, spending time with his family and immersing himself in a good read.

Sales DirectorPaul Greenley, the Sales Director at Dakin-Flathers, is instrumental in shaping and executing the company’s sales strategy, collaborating closely with the sales and marketing team. Paul is dedicated to cultivating long-term relationships with partners to enhance mutual business growth.
Armed with a degree in engineering, Paul brings three decades of industry experience to his role. Before joining Dakin-Flathers, he spent a decade at Speedsaws Sheffield, contributing significantly to his wealth of knowledge. Over Paul’s tenure, he has played a pivotal role in growing the business 5-fold through strategic sales initiatives.
Outside of his professional achievements, Paul is passionate about hiking, staying fit, walking his dog, reflecting a well-rounded and active lifestyle.
Stuart Dykes
Finance DirectorStuart Dykes
Finance DirectorStuart Dykes, the Finance Director at Dakin-Flathers, is at the forefront of the company finances, managing day-to-day responsibilities such as budgeting, reporting, and working capital management. A qualified chartered accountant, Stuart spent a decade with Deloitte and PwC before joining Dakin-Flathers.
Stuart brings a wealth of experience, having served as an advisor to both large corporates and UK SMEs over his career. His strategic insights and corporate background uniquely position him to drive Dakin-Flathers from an SME to the next level, delivering exciting opportunities for both our employees and partners.
Outside of the financial realm, Stuart proudly declares his allegiance as a Glasgow Rangers fan, embracing his Scottish roots. His interests also extend to Formula 1, hiking, and of course a good beer!
